Great Neck Library Presents A Summer Literary Event with Author Susan Isaacs on July 12
Great Neck, NY?Great Neck Library will present a Special Literary Event with New York Times Bestselling author Susan Isaacs at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 12 at the Great Neck Library Main Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck. A book signing featuring punch and cookies will follow the author?s discussion of her brand -new novel, As Husbands Go.
Novelist, essayist and screenwriter Susan Isaacs is a longtime resident of nearby Port Washington and the award-winning author of 11 novels, including Any Place I Hang My Hat, Long Time No See, Shining Through and Magic Hour. All of her novels have been New York Times bestsellers, and her fiction has been translated into thirty languages. She is a recipient of the Writers for Writers Award, the Marymount Manhattan Writing Center Award, and the John Steinbeck Award. Susan Isaacs currently serves as chairman of the board of the literary organization, Poets & Writers and is a past president of Mystery Writers of America.
Within the Long Island community, she sits on the board of the Queens College Foundation and is active in the North Shore Child and Family Guidance Association and the Nassau County Coalition against Domestic Violence. She is also an active member of her synagogue.
Compromising Positions, her first novel, was published in 1978, and introduced the literary world to a new type of mystery: a whodunit with a clever, witty Long Island housewife as the detective.
