Jeffrey Yoskowitz and Liz Alpern

Liz Alpern got her start in the Jewish food world working with acclaimed cookbook author Joan Nathan and is currently working on an MBA at CUNY Baruch College. She and Jeffrey Yoskowitz, who fell in love with the art of lacto-fermentation while training as a pickler on an organic farm, are the co-founders of The Gefilteria and co-authors of The Gefilte Manifesto. Jeffrey and Liz's work and writing have been featured by The New Yorker, The New York Times, Saveur, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, Slate, Gastronomica, and the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
