Do you sell books?

We don’t sell books. How­ev­er, you can pur­chase the books fea­tured on our site by click­ing the Buy” but­ton on a book page, which will allow you to buy the book from Ama­zon, Barnes & Noble, or IndieBound. Buy­ing a book through these affil­i­ate links is a great way to help sup­port us, as we receive a por­tion of the profit.

For Authors 

I sub­mit­ted a book for review. Why haven’t I heard back / Why has­n’t a review been published?

Books are reviewed at the dis­cre­tion of the edi­to­r­i­al team, who eval­u­ate books based on qual­i­ty and Jew­ish con­tent. Please note that we only review a small num­ber of the books that are sub­mit­ted to us.

Due to the large num­ber of sub­mis­sions Jew­ish Book Coun­cil receives, it usu­al­ly takes the edi­to­r­i­al team two to three months to reach a deci­sion on each sub­mis­sion. If, after that time, you would like to check on the sta­tus of your sub­mis­sion, you may email info@​jewishbooks.​org with the name of your book and the date you sub­mit­ted the title. Please be aware that we will not noti­fy you once a deci­sion has been reached unless you con­tact us in this man­ner. We do not pro­vide feed­back as to why or why not spe­cif­ic books are cho­sen to be reviewed.

Do you have a list of agents and pub­lish­ers who work on Jew­ish-inter­est books?

While we don’t have a list of spe­cif­ic agents or pub­lish­ers, we rec­om­mend find­ing com­pa­ra­ble titles and read­ing the acknowl­edg­ments for poten­tial agent pos­si­bil­i­ties, and look­ing at the pub­lish­er. Addi­tion­al­ly, you may be inter­est­ed in attend­ing one of our writ­ers’ sem­i­nars where we bring togeth­er indi­vid­u­als across the pub­lish­ing indus­try, includ­ing agents and pub­lish­ers, to meet with authors.

I am hop­ing to bring in authors to my local com­mu­ni­ty. What are the options and where can I found your tour­ing authors?

If you are inter­est­ed in bring­ing an author into your com­mu­ni­ty, please vis­it our JBC Authors” sec­tion. There will you be infor­ma­tion on becom­ing a JBC Net­work mem­ber site along with infor­ma­tion about bring­ing in one-off authors through JBC’s speak­ers’ bureau, Read On.

We’re so sor­ry that your copy has­n’t arrived! Please con­tact info@​jewishbooks.​org with details about your order and we will look into it right away.

Can I receive a refund for Paper Brigade?

Unfor­tu­nate­ly, we can only offer refunds for copies of Paper Brigade that have been con­firmed as miss­ing in tran­sit. If you have any ques­tions or have pur­chased a bulk order, please con­tact info@​jewishbooks.​org.

When will I receive my order?

Pub­lished copies of Paper Brigade are typ­i­cal­ly shipped with­in 5 busi­ness days. If you have any ques­tions about your spe­cif­ic order, please email info@​jewishbooks.​org.

If you have pre-ordered an issue, you will receive a noti­fi­ca­tion when the item ships. The esti­mat­ed pub­li­ca­tion date for new issues each year is December.
