Hachai’s Lift-the-Flap preschool series now addresses the holiday of Pesach. Simple facts about the holiday are presented in a game-like fashion using several rhyming lines accompanied by colorful pictures showing children preparing for the seder and celebrating the holiday with family. Each page provides the children with the opportunity to test their Passover knowledge. Correct answers are found by lifting a peek-a-boo flap on the page. An additional page of bonus questions and answers can be found at the back of the book, providing further opportunity for learning.

Topics covered are chametz, matzah, k’arah/seder plate, haggadah, four cups of wine, four questions, the Dayenu song, maror, afikomen and Pesach, itself. The format is fun for a parent and child to share interactively as they prepare for the upcoming holiday or review the family activities they experienced while celebrating.

Recommended for ages 3 – 6.
