Sarah L. Kauf­man is a Pulitzer Prize-win­ning dance crit­ic for The Wash­ing­ton Post, where she has writ­ten about arts, sports, and liv­ing for 20 years. A for­mer French-Amer­i­can Foun­da­tion fel­low, she has lived in France and Ger­many, and has lec­tured at uni­ver­si­ties around the coun­try. She and her hus­band have three chil­dren and live out­side Wash­ing­ton, DC.
