Set in Israel, the simple text of this counting book highlights locations (such as Masada, Tel Aviv, Eilat, and the Western Wall) to teach numbers one through ten. All of the cheerful, brightly-colored illustrations, ending with ten multicultural youngsters dancing the hora, are easy to count, and the small trim size (6 ½” x 6 ½”) is perfect for little hands.

Susan Kantor was a senior writer/editor for Girl Scouts of the USA, a children’s book editor, and a past judge for the National Jewish Book Awards in the illustrated children’s book category.
