This sto­ry is about the need to learn and to remem­ber the lessons of the Passover, those of ancient times and those of the time of the Holo­caust. In one of Europe’s great cities a girl escapes a vicious Passover raid; in a shat­tered War­saw an actor learns to stay alive and to fight back; in a vil­lage once filled with Jew­ish life a schol­ar is all that is left of his entire com­mu­ni­ty. Their paths will flow together.
