How is it that Israel, with just 8.5 million people, only 70 years old, with few natural resources and minimal infrastructure, is a world leader in producing medical and biotechnology start-ups and companies and is first in the world for medical device patents per capita?

I believe this is one of the most important times in the history of medicine and science and that Israel plays a key role. I provide compelling reasons why Israel is a world leader in innovation and highlight several accomplishments by Israeli medicine and science companies. With the results of hundreds of interviews, emails, personal visits and extensive research, I will take you on a journey to explore how all this creative and outstanding innovation has happened. The Jewish tradition of questioning and open-minded exploration of seemingly impossible tasks has fueled the fire for Israel to become a world leader in medicine and innovation!
