Dr. Zoe Gold­man is a psy­chi­a­trist with a lot of her own bag­gage. She sees her own psy­chi­a­trist for ADHD and is search­ing for the truth about her birth moth­er’s death in a house fire while her adop­tive moth­er is declin­ing from demen­tia. This is a sto­ry about fam­i­ly, mem­o­ry, and mad­ness, and the search for iden­ti­ty from the view­point of a young Reform Jew.
