When Tzvi minds little Benny from time to time, he tries to teach the younger child proper behavior. At the park, Tzvi shows Benny to stash” his trash” in a can; at the zoo when the giraffe is in sight, to never make noise and give him a fright. On other excursions, Tzvi sets the right examples and encourages little Benny to follow. The brightly colored well drawn multi-ethnic simple illustrations on the highly polished washable pages are so filled with details, that children can examine them over and over again. The surprised expression of little Benny each time his baby-sitter corrects him is a realistic who me?” response. This is a rollicking read-aloud book that will appeal to little children of all faiths if just a few Hebrew words are explained to them, such as Kiddush Hashem, mentsch, and bracha. The best part is they can search the illustrations forever. Recommended for ages 3 – 6.
