Jewish Book Month 100 Day School Events
Virtual
Jewish Book Council is celebrating Jewish Book Month 100 from November 13-December 13.
In honor of the centennial, Jewish Book Council is hosting three virtual author events throughout the month of Jewish Book Month for Jewish Day Schools and Early Childhood Centers. Students have the opportunity to hear from Jewish Book Council’s amazing authors as we celebrate the joy Jewish Books bring us.
Jewish Book Month is traced back to 1925 when Boston librarian Fanny Goldstein created Jewish Book Week to promote, celebrate, and educate her community on Jewish literature. In just seven years, Jewish Book Week became an established event and was celebrated across North America with the goal of not only celebrating Jewish luminaries and thinkers but also teaching the world about the Jewish people.
