Judith Katz is the author of two nov­els, The Escape Artist and Run­ning Fierce­ly Toward a High Thin Sound, which won a Lamb­da Lit­er­ary Award for best les­bian fic­tion. She has won numer­ous awards includ­ing grants from the Nation­al Endow­ment for the Arts, the McK­night Foun­da­tion, and the Min­neso­ta State Arts Board, and was a recip­i­ent of a Hadas­sah Bran­deis Schol­ar in Res­i­dence in 2008.
