Judith Katz is the author of two novels, The Escape Artist and Running Fiercely Toward a High Thin Sound, which won a Lambda Literary Award for best lesbian fiction. She has won numerous awards including grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the McKnight Foundation, and the Minnesota State Arts Board, and was a recipient of a Hadassah Brandeis Scholar in Residence in 2008.
