Kent was the U.S. Attor­ney in Atlanta dur­ing the 1996 Olympics. He spent hun­dreds of hours work­ing with the FBI to find the bomber, and ulti­mate­ly wrote and hand-deliv­ered Richard Jew­ell’s clear­ance let­ter. He has worked as gen­er­al coun­sel of Emory Uni­ver­si­ty and CARE, and as a King & Spald­ing law part­ner. Cur­rent­ly, Kent is pres­i­dent of The Tem­ple in Atlanta.
