The fall Jewish holidays are again around the corner. But for Chris Baron, Joshua S. Levy, and Naomi Milliner, it’s all Passover, all the time. Baron, Levy, and Milliner are the co-editors of On All Other Nights: A Passover Celebration in 14 Stories, which will be published by Abrams/Amulet Books on March 262024.

On All Other Nights is a middle grade anthology of fourteen stories, each inspired by one of the traditional steps of the Passover seder. Including historical and contemporary stories, verse and prose, fiction and nonfiction, this one-of-a-kind collection features gifted writers from various Jewish backgrounds, who explore their own traditions alongside the seder’s themes of freedom, joy, tradition, family, and more. Below is the full list of incredible contributors, along with the steps of the seder that inspire their stories:

  • Mari Lowe (Kadesh)
  • R. M. Romero (Urchatz)
  • Naomi Milliner (Karpas)
  • Joshua S. Levy (Yachatz)
  • Laurel Snyder (Magid)
  • Chris Baron (Rachtzah)
  • Adam Gidwitz (Motzei-Matzah)
  • Sofiya Pasternack (Maror)
  • Ruth Behar (Korech)
  • Sarah Kapit (Shulchan Orech)
  • A. J. Sass (Tzafun)
  • Laura Shovan (Barech)
  • Amy Ignatow (Hallel)
  • Veera Hiranandani (Nirtzah)
