This book by an observant Jewish sex therapist seeks to do for sex what The Blessing of a Skinned Knee did for parenting. Informed by both modern scholarship and traditional Jewish values, Love Worth Making offers a fresh look at what really matters in lovemaking.

Most sex books focus on technique. Love Worth Making takes on the more essential subject of sexual feelings — how they operate, what rules they follow, and how they connect to the rest of who you are. The book offers an impassioned defense of traditional monogamy, based on the author’s work with over 1,500 individuals and couples, and is illustrated throughout with compelling stories from his practice.

The deeper inspiration for this book comes from Dr. Snyder’s own experience of marriage to a woman who survived a major stroke at the age of 31, just ten weeks after their wedding. In the years that followed, they rediscovered their Jewish roots, became observant, raised two children, and learned the emotional and spiritual principles that became the foundation of this book.
