Received this lit­tle guy in the mail today and fell for the cov­er, paper qual­i­ty, and inte­ri­or page lay­out. It’s clear­ly been shown some TLC from its pub­lish­er, Ronald P. Frye & Com­pa­ny. Unfor­tu­nate­ly, it appears to only be avail­able in Cana­da right now, but cross­ing fin­gers for an Amer­i­can release soon.

An old blue couch is heist­ed away by neigh­bour­hood thieves; a com­forter from Poland under­goes a new util­i­tar­i­an trans­for­ma­tion; a prayer­shawl may have end­ed up on the wrong shoul­ders; a syn­a­gogue kid­dush club faces a cri­sis of whiskey drought — these and oth­er sit­u­a­tions give rise to humourous and hilar­i­ous predica­ments for the char­ac­ters in this col­lec­tion of endear­ing and deli­cious­ly com­ic sto­ries. The Old Blue Couch and Oth­er Sto­ries, for both its warmth and wit, mer­its an hon­oured place at the lit­er­ary ban­quet table.
