Amy Hoff­man, a long­time LGBTQ and fem­i­nist activist in Boston, is the author of Hos­pi­tal Time (Duke, 1997), about tak­ing care of friends with AIDS, and An Army of Ex-Lovers: My Life at the Gay Com­mu­ni­ty News (UMass Press, 2007). She is the edi­tor of Wom­en’s Review of Books and teach­es cre­ative non­fic­tion in the Sol­stice MFA pro­gram at Pine Manor College.
