Bet­sy L. Ross is a writer, film­mak­er, and hap­pi­ly retired attor­ney. She’s pub­lished non­fic­tion, book reviews, and direct­ed the doc­u­men­tary Look­ing for David, about the death of her son from an opi­oid over­dose. She cur­rent­ly lives in Boise, Ida­ho, but her nov­el was con­ceived in long­time home Salt Lake City, Utah. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, she stud­ied lit­er­a­ture and phi­los­o­phy as a Plan II major at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Texas, com­par­a­tive lit­er­a­ture at Indi­ana Uni­ver­si­ty, and cre­ative writ­ing at the Sewa­nee School of Letters.
