Joanne Rock­lin is a children’s author whose work has won many awards. Her books include the pic­ture book I Say She­hechiyanu (Kar-Ben) and Fleabrain Loves Fran­ny (Abrams), a 2015 Syd­ney Tay­lor Hon­or Book for Old­er Read­ers. She has a doc­tor­ate in psy­chol­o­gy and is a for­mer ele­men­tary school teacher. Born in Mon­tre­al, Joanne now lives in Oak­land, CA.
