Dahlia Japhet was born in Israel and edu­cat­ed in Israel, the Unit­ed States, and Cana­da. She received her master’s degree in medieval stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Toron­to and then stud­ied at the Pon­tif­i­cal Insti­tute Toron­to the Jew­ish The­o­log­i­cal Sem­i­nary and at YIVO. She taught at Bar Ilan Uni­ver­si­ty in Israel for over 10 years. She cur­rent­ly lives in New York City with her two sheepdogs.
