In 2010 Darah joined The Miami Herald’s www.momsmiami.com as a featured blogger. In 2011, she became lead editor and columnist with The Parent Notebook. A certified life coach and inspiring speaker, audiences are empowered by Darah’s courage, faith and perseverance.She adeptly weaves her “pearls of wisdom” into her teachings, illustrating that through hardship, we emerge more confident and resilient. In alignment with the memoir’s powerful message, a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each book will go to the FISP, or Florida Initiative for Suicide Prevention’s Adam Silverman College SUN Program — named for Darah’s younger brother who committed suicide in 2006. These programs are designed to teach college kids vital life coping and problem solving skills to help prevent and heighten awareness about suicide.
