Dr. Bern­stein a board cer­ti­fied in Inter­nal Med­i­cine and Geri­atrics, prac­tic­ing in Flori­da for over thir­ty years, a grad­u­ate of Albany Med­ical Col­lege and on the fac­ul­ty of Uni­ver­si­ty Of USF Col­lege Of Med­i­cine. A board mem­ber and past chair of Gulf Coast Jew­ish Fam­i­ly Ser­vices for twen­ty-six years, he and his wife are active in oth­er local Jew­ish phil­an­thropic organizations.
