Eri­ca J. Chen is a Chi­nese-Amer­i­can illus­tra­tor cur­rent­ly based in Cal­i­for­nia and Nova Sco­tia. She enjoys cre­at­ing whim­si­cal, char­ac­ter-dri­ven illus­tra­tions and is par­tic­u­lar­ly inter­est­ed in sto­ries that pro­mote inclu­siv­i­ty, tol­er­ance, and under­stand­ing. She also illus­trat­ed Purr-im Time and A Purr-fect Passover by Jen­na Wald­man from Apples and Hon­ey Press. Oth­er pub­li­ca­tions include Ukulele Dreams and The Dog Dilem­ma. She lives in the San Fran­cis­co Bay Area.
