Recent­ly, My Jew­ish Learn­ing offered rec­om­men­da­tions for a Jew­ish book for every age, from birth all the way to 120

Now, along with the Jew­ish Book Coun­cil, we invite you to dis­cuss our lit­er­ary picks — and the mer­its of mak­ing such a list — with an all-star group of Jew­ish authors, whose books appear among our rec­om­men­da­tions. Please join: 

- Eric Kim­mel, beloved and award-win­ning author of the clas­sic chil­dren’s book Her­shel and the Hanukkah Gob­lins, along with more than 150 oth­er books.

- Ilana Kur­shan, author of If All the Seas Were Ink. She is a reg­u­lar con­trib­u­tor to Lilith Mag­a­zine, where she is the Book Reviews Edi­tor, and her writ­ing has appeared in The For­ward, The World Jew­ish Digest, Hadas­sah, Nashim, Zeek, Kveller, and Tablet.

- Nao­mi Ragen, inter­na­tion­al best-sell­ing author of books that touch on the inner lives of reli­gious women, includ­ing Jeph­te’s Daugh­ter and the recent An Obser­vant Wife.

- Peter Cole, renowned poet, poet­ry trans­la­tor, and schol­ar, whose books include The Poet­ry of Kab­bal­ah: Mys­ti­cal Verse from the Jew­ish Tra­di­tion and Sacred Trash: The Lost and Found World of the Cairo Geniza.

Their con­ver­sa­tion will be mod­er­at­ed by Ben Har­ris, Man­ag­ing Edi­tor of My Jew­ish Learn­ing, and intro­duced by Nao­mi Fire­stone-Teeter, Exec­u­tive Direc­tor of the Jew­ish Book Council.
