Join acclaimed Israeli nov­el­ist and film­mak­er Ron Segal and Ellen Orseck, for­mer Cura­tor of the Per­ma­nent Col­lec­tion at Holo­caust Muse­um Hous­ton, for a dis­cus­sion of Segal’s forth­com­ing nov­el, Del­i­cate, select­ed as the sixth title in Jew­ish Book Council’s Nu Reads series. Haunt­ed by the recent death of his wife, renowned Israeli writer and Holo­caust sur­vivor Adam Schu­mach­er sets out on a jour­ney to chron­i­cle their love sto­ry before it’s too late. Decades after he fled the Nazis, Adam returns to Ger­many, where he con­fronts his past and his rapid­ly erod­ing mem­o­ry. Del­i­cate is a lyri­cal and can­did nov­el about the unsta­ble work of remembering. 

This fall, Ayin Press released an exclu­sive ear­ly edi­tion of Del­i­cate through Nu Reads. Segal is cur­rent­ly adapt­ing the nov­el into an ani­mat­ed film.
