Gil Rib­ak is the Shirley D. Cur­son Asso­ciate Pro­fes­sor of Juda­ic Stud­ies and His­to­ry at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Ari­zona. Born and raised in Israel, Pro­fes­sor Rib­ak came to the U.S. on a Ful­bright dis­ser­ta­tor fel­low­ship. Apart from his two books, he has pub­lished numer­ous arti­cles and book chap­ters, and won pres­ti­gious fel­low­ships, includ­ing the Euro­pean Union’s Marie S. Curie Senior Fellowship.
