Han­nah Arendt (1906−1975) was a Ger­man-born polit­i­cal sci­en­tist and philoso­pher. She is the author of The Ori­gins of Total­i­tar­i­an­ism, The Human Con­di­tion, and Eich­mann in Jerusalem, among oth­er books.
