Ian Pear is a Rab­bi, Legal Schol­ar, Jerusalem Spe­cial Envoy for Inter­na­tion­al Com­mu­ni­ties, an aspi­ra­tional Olive Farmer, and an author of three books. He is the founder of Shir Hadash, a Jerusalem based edu­ca­tion­al insti­tute which has launched three Syn­a­gogues, oper­ates an edu­ca­tion­al farm, and hosts world lead­ers as part of its Spir­i­tu­al Diplo­ma­cy efforts on behalf of Israel. In addi­tion to Rab­binic Ordi­na­tion, he also holds degrees in law and Inter­na­tion­al Relations.
