J. A. Bern­stein is the author of a forth­com­ing sto­ry col­lec­tion, Stick-Light (Eye­wear). His work has appeared in Boston Review, Keny­on Review, McSweeney’s, and oth­er jour­nals, and won con­tests at Crab Orchard Review and South­ern Indi­ana Review. A Chica­go-native and for­mer Ful­bright Schol­ar, he is an assis­tant pro­fes­sor at the Uni­ver­si­ty of South­ern Mis­sis­sip­pi and the fic­tion edi­tor of Tikkun.
