Jean Troun­stine is an author of eight books, an activist, and pro­fes­sor who direct­ed the first Shake­speare play in prison and co-found­ed the women’s branch of Chang­ing Lives Through Lit­er­a­ture. She received a Gram­sci award in Italy for 30+ years of jus­tice work in pris­ons. Her most recent book, Sounds Like Trou­ble to Me is based on the coura­geous women who rose up at California’s Dublin Prison.
