Jeanne Mackin is the author of sev­er­al his­tor­i­cal nov­els, includ­ing The Beau­ti­ful Amer­i­can. She taught cre­ative writ­ing at God­dard Col­lege and has giv­en numer­ous work­shops. She lives with her hus­band in upstate New York.
