Joyce G. Schwartz, M.D., obtained her med­ical degree from The Uni­ver­si­ty of Texas Health Sci­ence Cen­ter at San Anto­nio. She received numer­ous awards and hon­ors dur­ing her career, includ­ing the pres­ti­gious Min­nie Stevens Piper Foundation’s Piper Pro­fes­sor Award for excel­lence in teach­ing, and elec­tion to the San Anto­nio Women’s Hall of Fame. She is cur­rent­ly work­ing as a pathol­o­gist in San Antonio.
