Jonathan Schanz­er is the vice pres­i­dent for research at the Foun­da­tion for Defense of Democ­ra­cies and the author of Hamas vs. Fatah. He pre­vi­ous­ly worked at the U.S. Depart­ment of the Trea­sury, the Wash­ing­ton Insti­tute for Near East Pol­i­cy, the Jew­ish Pol­i­cy Cen­ter, and the Mid­dle East Forum.
