Kather­ine Fen­nel­ly has a Ph.D. from Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty and is known for her research on immi­gra­tion and health. After dis­cov­er­ing her Jew­ish roots as an adult, she began study­ing her own fam­i­ly ances­try. When not track­ing down clas­si­fied doc­u­ments, Kather­ine vol­un­teers for refugee-serv­ing orga­ni­za­tions and enjoys bik­ing in Prospect Park and spend­ing time with her daugh­ters and grand­daugh­ters in Brook­lyn, New York.
