Katie Sanders is a journalist who has written for National Geographic, The New York Times, Washington Post, New York, and Marie Claire. After discovering that her grandfather — a Jewish-American pilot shot down over France in 1944 — was rescued by OSS Marine Peter Ortiz, she partnered with Nicholas Reynolds to co-author Ortiz’s War. She lives in Brookline, MA, with her husband and sons.
