Lar­ry Smith is the founder of Smith Mag­a­zine, home of the Six-Word Mem­oir project and best­selling book series. Lar­ry has spo­ken sto­ry­telling and at SXSW Inter­ac­tive, AARP’s 50+ con­fer­ence, ESPN, Dell, Mor­gan Stan­ley, Google, Shut­ter­fly, as well as at foun­da­tions, non­prof­its and schools across the world. His writ­ing has appeared in The New York Times, Pop­u­lar Sci­ence, Men’s Health, Salon, the Colum­bia Jour­nal­ism Review, Wired, and Utne Read­er. He’s on the board of Alter​Net​.org and lives in Brook­lyn, NY with his wife, Piper Ker­man, and their son.
