Larry Smith is the founder of Smith Magazine, home of the Six-Word Memoir project and bestselling book series. Larry has spoken storytelling and at SXSW Interactive, AARP’s 50+ conference, ESPN, Dell, Morgan Stanley, Google, Shutterfly, as well as at foundations, nonprofits and schools across the world. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, Popular Science, Men’s Health, Salon, the Columbia Journalism Review, Wired, and Utne Reader. He’s on the board of AlterNet.org and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife, Piper Kerman, and their son.
