Author of four books: Time­less, My Father’s Secret War, Wild Apples, and Wait­ing Out A War. Taught at Yale, Prince­ton and Vas­sar. Mar­ried to Robert M. Mor­gen­thau, for­mer Dis­trict Attor­ney of New York. Has two chil­dren, 30 and 22, and five stepchildren.
