Mara Bergman is an award-win­ning author, poet, and edi­tor who has writ­ten more than twen­ty books for young chil­dren, includ­ing The Tall Man and the Small Mouse, illus­trat­ed by Bir­git­ta Sif; Bears, Bears Every­where!, illus­trat­ed by Helen Craig; and Snip Snap! What’s That?, Oliv­er Who Would Not Sleep, and Oliv­er Who Trav­elled Far and Wide, illus­trat­ed by Nick Maland. Born in New York City and raised on Long Island, Mara Bergman now works in Lon­don and lives in Kent.
