Meg Akabas is the founder of New York City-based Par­ent­ing Solu­tions, a con­sul­tan­cy designed to help par­ents dis­cov­er the joy in par­ent­ing. She reg­u­lar­ly pro­vides one-on-one con­sul­ta­tions and leads work­shops for par­ents and teach­ers on infan­cy through pre-ado­les­cence, includ­ing those on the top­ic of rais­ing a Jew­ish fam­i­ly. Meg has served as pres­i­dent of the board of two Man­hat­tan Jew­ish day schools and has more than 18 years of lead­er­ship expe­ri­ence in nurs­ery and ele­men­tary schools. She has been award­ed the ​“Par­ent­ing Edu­ca­tor Cre­den­tial” from the New York State Par­ent­ing Edu­ca­tion Part­ner­ship and serves on the NYSPEP steer­ing com­mit­tee. Meg’s exper­tise includes more than 20 years of first­hand expe­ri­ence as a par­ent of four and life­long stu­dent of child behav­ior and development.
