Mer­rie Block­er pur­sued her pas­sion for art, his­to­ry and cross-cul­tur­al under­stand­ing from Reed Col­lege to Syra­cuse Uni­ver­si­ty, to the DeCor­do­va and Par­rish Art Muse­ums and as Cul­tur­al Attaché at U.S. embassies abroad. In Brazil, she fell in love with On a Clear April Morn­ing and vowed, with her usu­al fierce deter­mi­na­tion, to bring it to a wider audience.
