Miri­am Kalman Friedman’s writ­ing and teach­ing focus on women’s life sto­ries. Her books include the reprint with after­word of Owens’s Unpre­dictable Adven­ture and the anthol­o­gy Rape, Incest, Bat­tery: Women Writ­ing out the Pain. A play­wright liv­ing in Hous­ton, sev­er­al of her plays have been fea­tured in local festivals.
