A Detroit native, Mitchell Weitz­man is a grad­u­ate of New York Uni­ver­si­ty and the George Wash­ing­ton Uni­ver­si­ty Law School. He is a reg­u­la­to­ry coun­sel with the Food and Drug Admin­is­tra­tion, was a long­time colum­nist for the Wash­ing­ton Jew­ish Week. As a child of Holo­caust sur­vivors, Mitchell has long grap­pled with ques­tions of faith, iden­ti­ty, jus­tice, and empathy.
