His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe, The Times (London), The Los Angeles Times, TIME, History Today, and The Jerusalem Post. He graduated from Yale University, where he studied history, and from Columbia Law School.
