As a jour­nal­ist and nov­el­ist, Stephen Kier­nan has had near­ly five mil­lion words in print. His acco­lades include a George Polk Award, the Free­dom of Infor­ma­tion Award from the Brech­n­er Insti­tute, and the Ger­ald Loeb Award. His nov­els have been trans­lat­ed into many lan­guages and optioned for tele­vi­sion and film pro­duc­tion. He lives in Vermont.
