Susan Schneider grew up on Long Island in the 1950s, graduated from Boston University and taught English for more than 30 years. Fire in My Ears is the novel that resulted from an assignment she gave a Creative Writing class to think back to the sights, sounds and smells of an early memory. She lives in Manhattan with her husband.
