Yair Mintzk­er is pro­fes­sor of his­to­ry at Prince­ton Uni­ver­si­ty. Born and raised in Jerusalem, he stud­ied at Tel-Aviv Uni­ver­si­ty and received his Ph.D. from Stan­ford Uni­ver­si­ty. Mintzk­er is the author of two books and the recip­i­ent of many prizes and fel­low­ships, includ­ing ones from the Insti­tute of Advanced Study in Prince­ton and the Wis­senschaft­skol­leg in Berlin.
