Abe is a prac­tic­ing neu­ro­sur­geon at Engle­wood Hos­pi­tal and Mount Sinai Med­ical Cen­ter, on the fac­ul­ty of Mt Sinai Med School, for­mer chair­man of the Depart­ment of Neu­ro­surgery at Engle­wood Hos­pi­tal. He grad­u­at­ed med­ical school from Colum­bia Uni­ver­si­ty Col­lege of Physi­cians and Sur­geons and did his neu­ro­sur­gi­cal train­ing at the Neu­ro­log­i­cal Insti­tute of NY at Colum­bia U.
