Born and raised in El Paso, TX, Bar­bara Schoichet holds a PhD in cre­ative writ­ing from Lan­cast­er Uni­ver­si­ty in Eng­land and an MFA from Sarah Lawrence Col­lege. An avid bik­er, she’s owned (and wrecked) sev­er­al motor­cy­cles and logged more than ten thou­sand miles, includ­ing the 3,988-mile jour­ney chron­i­cled in Don’t Think Twice.
