Fun-loving Kayla is back along with her frisky, playful pup, Kugel, and they are having a spectacular time celebrating the most fun holiday of all, Purim. They bake hamantaschen, not forgetting a special Purim-themed treat for Kugel; they trade places when Kaya wears a Kugel consume and dresses him in her own clothes; they go to hear the Megillah, where readers are reminded of the Purim story highlights, and of course they make the appropriate noises at the sound of Haman’s name. Their Purim seudah, the holiday’s festive meal, is joyfully celebrated with family and friends.
An author’s note gives readers some food for thought about Purim joy and celebration. Koffsky’s dynamic, funny, and highly amusing illustrations transport Kayla, Kugel, and the holiday of Purim off the page and into the lives of appreciative readers.
