This is the history of a 1931 NYC love triangle– turned murderous and suicidal – that marked the convergence of three major Gotham families. New York City Love Triangle, 1931 involves top politicians (in the Democratic and Republican parties), a painter who studied at the Art Students League of New York and had her first solo show on West 57th Street at the age of just 24, and the lothario son of the most famous Yiddish actor in the world (Dr. Milton Thomashefsky, scion of thespian Boris Thomashefsky, who ruled the Yiddish Rialto of the Bowery and Second Avenue at the turn of the century).
It’s a deep-dive into the generational, fascinating origins of these lovers, a look into how they ever could have become so enmeshed and at odds, an exploration of the cataclysm, a most violent collision, and its rippling aftermath to this very day.
